On March 1, Weibo released its financial results for the fourth quarter and the full year of 2022. In the fourth quarter of 2022, Weibo’s total revenue was about 3.152 billion yuan, down 20% year-on-year and flat month-on-month; net profit was 1.237 billion yuan, up 46% quarter-on-quarter.
Looking at 2022 as a whole, Weibo’s total annual revenue is 12.37 billion yuan, down 15%. The company started to improve its operational efficiency in the second quarter. These measures have resulted in the company’s adjusted operating profit reaching 4.073 billion yuan in 2022.
In terms of users, as of the end of the fourth quarter, Microblog’s monthly active users reached 586 million, representing a net increase of 13 million, and daily active users reached 252 million, representing a net increase of 3 million. The share of Microblog’s monthly active users in the fourth quarter originating from mobile devices reached 95%.
