Questmobile: Share of short video usage time rised to 26% by 2021

On February 22, Questmobile released China Mobile Internet’s 2021 annual report.

According to the report, the entire network had 1.174 billion users in December 2021. Short video usage time has overtaken instant messaging to become the industry that takes up the longest network time, with rapid growth momentum.

The market held by Tencent covers nearly 95%, and the penetration rate tends to be stable. Alibaba, Baidu Group and ByteDance are maintaining their growth. ByteDance’s penetration rate increased by 13.0% year-on-year to 73.4%.
